metoCube is a operations modeling software where you will be able to easily find all the information, tools and templates you need to carry out your job. Below are some examples of the kind of information you can find in metoCube:
- A procedure describing how a process is to be carried out
- A task description with executable work instructions
- A job description stating the profile needed for the job
- A tool user guide
- An indicator page describing how the indicator is calculated
- ...
Finding information in metoCube is extremely simple. metoCube's pages are divided in four regions:
- The navigation tree at the left through which you can access any element in metoCube. Elements are grouped into two domains (people and work). Click on the name of each domain to see a description.
- The central region shows the element's page. It also provides access to the element's views, lists and edition pages (if you are logged in as an editor) through the tabs at the bottom.
- The Editor bar (if you are logged in as an editor) from where you can create content, back-up content, etc...)
In metoCube you can find information about procedures, job descriptions, document templates, etc... The following diagram shows the type of elements that you can find in metoCube. Each element has its own page.
Note: The diagram needs to be updated
The diagram above and descriptions of each element type can be found at the metoCube content structure document.
In metoCube, content (such as procedures, job descriptions and tool user guides) are described in a structured way (see Structured operations description for more information), as opposed to the narrative style used when procedures are documented in MS Word, PDF or static HTML. This structured process description makes it possible to present users with set of views that provide only the information that is relevant for them.
